National Team Information-
The Shockwaves Organization will also put forward a National team tryout schedule. All girls are welcome to try out from inside and outside the organization currently. Some teams may be designated "National" prior to tryouts. Those teams are expected to attend the tryouts to show others who they'd be playing with. Any player not currently on the National team who makes it from inside the organization will remain with their current team unless the coaches mutually agree to move the player to the National team. Any player from outside the organization that tries out and is offered a spot on the National team would then join that team.
The Organization will post the Alliance or PGF Qualifiers and National schedule of events and all players designated as "National" would potentially be invited to these events. This means "National" players playing on Regional teams would potentially be available to the National team if invited. Regional teams should do their best to schedule around the National events or understand they could potentially be missing their National players that weekend. (*once a team were to qualify for the National tournament, all supplemental players would then play with their regular team)
National players will order 4 separate "National" jerseys at a cost of $50 each. (included in the packet for any National teams). There's no guarantee a designated "National" player playing on a Regional team will be invited to the Qualifiers or National tournament, but we wanted all players to have the chance to have the jerseys in case they want to wear them to camps, clinics, school etc.
For a team to be considered for a National Team designation, there are several requirements that must be met:
-You must have previously discussed and received approval on your schedule
-Your team must have a previous schedule resume and performance that merits consideration for the National team (*Teams can change designation from National to Regional year to year based on leadership decision)
-Your team must use SportsRecruits (SR) for recruiting purposes
-Each player must have a SR profile completed and updated regularly
-Each player must have a Twitter profile and update regularly with videos and highlights
-As a National Team, you'd be coaching all players who made the team during tryouts. Meaning National players on other SW teams may also be invited to join the team you coach for all qualifiers and nationals.
-All Shockwaves teams will be expected to complete their Summer schedule prior to the National Tournament which is typically the last 10 days of July.
